Warped Wednesdays- is it turning in to a pattern, or...?

Their contorted minds and their contorted lies,

Their contorted suppositions, their picayune fights.

They gauged the flawed when they realized;

"The two Worlds were never meant to collide."

I remember coming up with this one in the summer of 2022. The summer, however, was not sunny enough. The friendship had run its' course. The love died down and so did the civility. I could have prevented the sapling from turning in to a Poison Tree.

I was angry with my foe:

I told it not, my wrath did grow.

(William Blake | 1794)

The Death of a Star.

When the radiation pressure aided by hydrogen (H) comes to an end, the gravitational force cripples a star, eventually leading it to its' declining years. The star then collapses with the death being mass-dependent. The heaviest lads become the deadliest, supermassive black holes. This could take years to transpire. Billions. The stars with lesser mass form white dwarfs with low luminosity being a distinctive attribute.

Now, I am known as the lady who loves to draw parallels between the Universe and human behavior. Some might call it delusion, and the rest, a coping mechanism. A crutch. When we run out of fuel, which in this frame of reference is self-esteem, we give others the chance to feed off of us. An entryway in to the crevice- a free pass to bypass. And before one even realizes it, they get scapegoated. Huzzah! However, there are ways to come out of this quicksand. Those who have learnt and revised their lessons, through cogitation and quiet introspection, become powerful. Just like a supermassive black hole. The mass can be the fall- the ruination.

harder the fall, higher the bounce.

sweeter the victory.

...has Physics taught you nothing, my friend? ;)

The infamous stimulant.

- "bhai, ek cup chai ke saath ek cigg bhi ho jaye?"

The release of beta-endorphins in the brain is what coerces a human being in to picking up another one. The seventh heaven, the feeling of being able to control and alter trajectories- that is what nicotine does to a smoker. Now, before the commencement of any movie, there comes a ghastly visual of a man (or a woman) coughing murderously, sorrowing. Then comes the narrator with his rich, baritone voice. Tobacco causes cancer. We are aware, Sir. But did any of that help? Not really. The numbers continue to speak for themselves still.

Antagonists. Miscreants. They come in varying shapes and sizes. Some look vibrant. Enticing, almost. Euthalia aconthea, a nymphalid butterfly, is known to be a true master of camouflage. We also have chameleons, Malagasy leaf-nosed snakes, lots to add to the list. Would you like to know who sits at the pinnacle though? It is not the wondrous creatures that I aforementioned- it is US. The saplings of the Poison Tree. Some lunge from behind, a few from the front. Whatever feels convenient and electrifying in the moment, you see.

"Caught in a Quandary"

I created this artwork in that summer of 2022 on my iPad. The woman, as you may have rightly guessed already, is Aditi. Feels like tunnel vision almost, does it not? The illustration is an amalgamation of (just) three words- Confusion, Conundrum and Torment. Two Cs and a T.

Ingenious, much? Although, after all these years, I still feel I could have gone Promethean with the lines and everything...

(pfft, as IF! chumma and all A likes to say thingz)
